Randonnée : Les Cornettes de Bise depuis le refuge de Bise

This hiking route passes gets through verdant pastures, to reach stunning viewpoints giving exceptional panoramic views. The route winds between France and Switzerland and elements of the circuit follow trails in Switzerland.

Note this hike is for an active sportsperson audience and strong walkers. Several sections of the route are exposed and require vigilance. A good physical state, an early start, a bit of experience, are all that's needed for a successful hike.

Starting behind the "Refuge de Bises" (accessible from the village of Vacheresse) head toward the "Pass de la Bosse" at 1816 m along a steep trail. Follow the "Couloir du Saix" keeping an eye out for Ibex who often frequent this area. Leaving the "couloir" continue on the right side of the ridge edge. Proceed paying attention to several crossing routes to eventually reach the Cross on the Summit of Les Corenttes du Bise. The return can be done by going to the left in the direction of "Col de Chaudin" that also marks the border with the Switzerland. Go left along the ridge and continue to the "Chalets de Loz". After a short climb, through the "Col d'Ugeon" pass you reach the "Chalets de Bises".
