The Salève cable car - Closed

in Étrembières

  • Reach the summit of the Salève in four minutes. When you get there, you can admire stunning views of Geneva as well as the cable car station, an architectural jewel of the 1930s.

  • Three objectives of the renovation project :
    - aesthetic renovation (the upper station is designated as a French monument)
    - renovation in order to reduce the environmental impact (rainwater collection, thermal insulation, etc.)
    - diversification of activity (new restaurant, climbing wall, museum, educational botanical garden, "nature" playground)

    During this period of work, for your safety and in respect of the work site, it is not possible to access the cable car’s surroundings:
