Exposition : L'eau, le vent, la glace

Cultural, Exhibition, Photography in Argentière, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Free
  • Self-taught in life and in my hobbies. I've always drawn, painted, practised amateur theater and photography, which has always been present but I never imagined one day being able to exhibit it.

I arrived at the "Les Becs Rouges" hotel-restaurant in Montroc in 1977 and stayed there from June 1st to October 1st. I was 25 years old, I knew absolutely nothing about the region, but I had a strong attraction for the mountains - the sea didn't appeal to me!
Conclusion: I literally fell in love with the Chamonix valley, but it was in winter that my eye fell on the wonders that nature has to offer. In fact, from June 1 1978 to October 1 1978, I returned to Argentière...

Conclusion: I literally fell in love with the Chamonix valley, but it was in winter that my eye fell on the wonders that nature has to offer. In fact, from June 1 1978 to October 1 1978, I returned to Argentière for a season at "Le Dahu".
Winters 1978, 1979, 1980, season in Courchevel 1850 at the "Chabichou", proving my attraction to the mountains. I lived in Chamonix for 4 years and then, for my professional career, I worked in Annecy and then Paris for 10 years, always with the idea of returning to my mountains. I currently live in Annecy.
Self-taught in life and in my hobbies. I've always drawn, painted, practised amateur theater and photography, which has always been with me, although I never imagined one day being able to exhibit it. When I was 23, I had a very ordinary camera, and a photographer told me: "Remember, it's not the camera that makes the photo, but your eye.
The photos you will discover were taken in January 2012 at minus 10 degrees.... with sunshine! These photos are unretouched and unfiltered.
I was able to exhibit at the Musée de l'Eau in Pont en Royans, followed by the Chemin des peintres in La Baume d'Hostun in the Drôme, the Chambre des Notaires in Pringy and various locations in Annecy.
In 2023, I will realize my dream of exhibiting in a village in the heart of the mountains in winter. This village is Argentière, which I discovered 46 years ago.
